HUNGERHILL TRADING LIMITED

In order to comply with charitable requirements, the company was incorporated in 2000 as the trading subsidiary of the Renewal Trust. The company manages an emerging property portfolio and one of its stated aims is that any surplus will be utilised to support the Trust’s charitable aims, and in the year ended 31 June 2004, as in the previous year, £10,500 was transferred by way of a Gift Aid donation to the Renewal Trust. These funds are utilised to support the ongoing work of the Trust in particular the activities with young people in the area.

SYCAMORE BUSINESS CENTRE

The Centre has now been operational for five years providing seventeen quality offices for small and medium business enterprises and continues to be fully occupied. Nine businesses and more than sixty people are now working in the Business Centre. In addition, the businesses and organisations have many visitors to their offices that help to raise the profile of the Renewal Trust and to demonstrate the positive aspects of operating businesses in the St Ann’s area.

THE RENEWAL TRUST BUSINESS CENTRE

Funding to purchase and develop the property at 3 Hawksworth Street was secured from the Regeneration Capital Investment Fund (RCIF) and Bodill Construction Ltd started the construction of the Business Centre in January 2004. We also received some additional funding through the Greater Nottingham Partnership to support the final work needed to complete the centre. The completed building was handed over to the Renewal Trust on 22 November 2004 and comprises 20 office units together with a meeting room that is available for use by the tenants. The offices are of high quality and have already aroused a great deal of interest.
