Employment & Training Support

The Renewal Trust Job Shop is situated at 27-31 Carlton Road, which is between St Ann’s and The Dales (Sneinton). We are here to support you into work, training, and education with the main focus on reducing unemployment. So if you are currently un-employed, being made redundant or ready to return to work then we can help you with:

• Compiling and updating an effective CV- A strong CV will give you a better chance of getting that job
• Assistance with filling in application forms to meet the job specification
• Supporting you with covering letters to attach to your CV- again supporting your application to gain work
• Preparation with interviews which will support your success at interview
• Job searching to match your skills to the local labour market
• Assessing your training needs prior to work or in conjunction with work
• Supporting you with the Childcare Voucher Scheme ( For residents of St Ann’s and The Dales ONLY). Please read the Childcare Voucher page to see if you qualify for support.
• Supporting you to break down some of those barriers once first in work or leading to work via our Residents Grants (For residents of St Ann’s and The Dales ONLY)
• Signposting you to other services including Job Centre Plus, St Ann’s Advice, Housing Support and various others

We are a Ukonline Centre so you can call in within the opening times to book a computer to job search, complete applications and look at training online of which may support you back into employment.

Our Service is confidential and tailored to the individual needs of each client through a SMART Action Plan and regular review process. This is also a free service so do either pop in to make an appointment or call and speak to one of our Personal Advisers on 0115 9243551.
