Area Learning Facilitator
The two year Learning Facilitator Post aims to support a wide range of learning activities providing education and training for local people living in an area of acute deprivation. Education ands Training which raise basic Adult skills; address the level of non-adult learners and seek to improve staying on rates from secondary to further education.
The work that the facilitator will contribute to will include:
- A number of adults whose attainment is measurably enhanced/improved
- A number of people training and obtaining qualifications
- A number of residents of target area accessing employment through training, careers and guidance or other specifically targeted assistance
- A number of people trained, who obtain permanent employment
- A number of people trained, who obtain permanent jobs who were formerly unemployed
- A number of disadvantaged groups being targeted who obtain employment
The facilitator will link a number of learning projects offered by community organisations in the area to ensure learning offered is relevant and not duplicated.
The post will contribute to the economic regeneration of the area through increased levels of employment seen in the local community.
The post will also support and develop the Local Learning Partnership.
