Local Alchemy - Re-inventing Local Economies

We have recently secured £80,000 funding over a two year period to pilot the Local Alchemy approach in Sneinton.

What is Local Alchemy?

East Midlands Development Agency and the New Economics Foundation are the sponsors, having recruited four communities in the East Midlands to pilot this initiative over the next 2 years.

Local Alchemy is a framework strategy for community-led economic development and provides a suite of tools to assist local communities understand, develop a vision and deliver practical actions. The whole process is based around a 'toolkit' to review and develop entrepreneurial skills.

The Trust is ideally positioned to be able to utilise its existing partnership networks, business skills, community links and staff resources to develop and maximise the outcomes from this programme towards the area's regeneration.
