Healthy Living Centre
Introduction
A £820,246 Healthy Living Centre grant for St Anns was secured in July 2002. The 5-year programme is delivered through a range of local partners; YMCA, Ecoworks, ACNA, Phase Ten Regeneration Partnership, Nottingham City Primary Care Trust (PCT) and Sycamore Millennium Centre. The programme does not create any new facilities, but provides access to activities that have a positive impact on health. Initial expectations are that around 1100 local people will benefit from the various projects on an annual basis.
Activities are underway at Sycamore and YMCA Sport in the Community, the programme will be fully operational by June 2003. Discussions are taking place with the PCT to discuss how services can be mainstreamed to ensure sustainability.
