Crime and Community Safety

Supporting and facilitating the Local Framework Task Group, involving:

• Drug Action Team
• Youth workers
• Housing Department
• Police
• Local Councillors

Established following the Police Public meeting in October 2002, it continues to oversee crime and community safety initiatives in the area.

Successes include securing additional funding for Police cycle patrols and drug awareness programmes.

The Trust has facilitated 2 public feedback sessions, informing people of progress. The Trust has taken the lead in developing a pack of helpline numbers which will be credit card sized, for all residents.
