The priority group within the youth programme, is young people currently excluded from existing provision. It is planned to develop the facilities within the complex to meet the needs of the local community and ensure the centre's long-term sustainability. Our programme of youth activities targeted at young people between 13 -16 aims to empower young people to fulfil their potential, to help young people avoid being harmed or harming themselves, including preventing offending.

The activities on offer aim to meet the needs of young people and are therefore varied and developed in conjunction with the young people themselves. They consist of 'traditional' youth work, as well as a number of local projects that seek to tackle issues of youth exclusion and those deemed at risk. The aim is to provide youth work and youth work activities that ensure equality of opportunity and empowers young people to fulfil their potential. Activities include group discussions, drama and music workshops, recreation and sporting activities, outreach and street work, encouraging volunteering, ICT learning, and adventurous activities.

In order to develop and deliver the youth work programme, the Renewal Trust works in partnership with Nottingham Youth Offending Team, Area 5 Nottingham Youth Crime Reduction Agency, Nottingham City Council Youth and Community Services, Elliot Durham and Greenwood Comprehensive School, as well as other local voluntary organisations and youth clubs.
